Medicare Rebates
Medicare rebates are available for Video Conferencing consultation clients who have a chronic condition and complex care needs being managed by a medical practitioner (GP) under a shared care plan or under both a GP Management Plan and Team Care Arrangement. GP referrals must be accompanied by a signed Referral Form for Allied Health Services to be eligible for a Medicare rebate.
If you are referred to Virtuous Nutrition on a plan you are required to pay the full consultation fee at the time of booking your consultation. Virtuous Nutrition will provide every client with a receipt which may be used to claim the rebate back from Medicare. Please note there will be an out-of-pocket cost to you as the rebate does not cover the full cost of your consultation.
Private Health Cover/ Insurance Rebates
Most private health funds provide rebates for visits to a dietitian. The rebate depends on your level of cover. Contact your health care provider to check your entitlements, maximum yearly and visit allowance. You are required to pay the full consultation fee at the time of booking your consultation. Virtuous Nutrition will provide every client with a receipt which may be used to submit a claim to your provider.
Payment/Fee Terms
Full payments for all services are required at the time of booking your consultation. At Virtuous Nutrition we accept all forms of payment. Cash or cheque upon provision of service is only available for In-home consultations. EFT bank transfers can be organised for all services. If you choose to pay via EFT bank transfer, you will need to process the transaction 3 working days before the consultation. Please use your full name as the reference in the transfer.
Cancellation Policy
At Virtuous Nutrition we understand that sometimes your busy work schedules get in the way. In case if you desire to change or cancel an appointment, please contact us early as possible by using the Contact Us form. Details on the policy of changing appointments, cancelling appointments, and refunds connected with cancelling appointments are given below.
Changing appointments for Video Conferencing consultations: Changing appointment time and date can be done by using the Contact Us form. Changing appointment before 48 hours of the appointment will not incur any additional fee. Changing appointments within 24 to 48 hours will incur additional charge of $10. This payment has to be made before confirming the new appointment time and date. Changing appointments within 24 hours of the appointment is not permitted and no refunds will be made.
Cancellation of appointments for Video Conferencing consultations: Cancellation of appointments can be done by using the Contact Us form. Cancellations of appointments are allowed subject to a cancellation fee. Fees paid for appointments made and cancelled before 48 hours of the appointment time will be refunded subject to a $10 cancellation fee. Fees paid for appointments made and cancelled within 24 to 48 hours will be refunded subject to a $20 cancellation fee. Cancellation of appointments are not permitted within 24 hours of the appointment time.
Cancellation of request for E-mail Consultations: Cancellation of E-mail consultations is not permitted and no refunds will be made.
Cancellation of appointments for Recipe Nutrition Analysis: For Recipe Nutrition Analysis, once the submission of the recipe is made, no cancellation of services permitted.
In the event that we are unavailable at your preferred date and time due to our busy schedules, your payment will be fully refunded to you.
